Start of Projects: October 01, 2005

Milestone 1: First version of WebSuite as Open Source under GNU GPL (Spring 2007)
Achieved: March 18, 2007

Actual Tasks

  • Completed!Moving HTML-Editor (X)HTML-Format and Analysis-Tools from JBuilder 5 Format to Eclipse 3 (some dialogs have to be reworked)
  • Completed!Removing Product Key inquiry from WebAnalysis
  • Completed!Creation and initialization of a project on SourceForge.net
  • Completed!First release under GNU GPL license aggreement made available to the public
  • Completed!Translation to English (new parts of the Websuite).
  • Completed!Creation of new graphics and icons.
Milestone 2: Completion of a Release-Candidate Mid April 2007
Achieved: April 21, 2007

Milestone 3: Initial Release after completion of tests May/June 2007

Future Tasks

  • Better integration of WebAnalysis and (X)HTML-Format via defined interfaces. Target: both applications shall remain being usable and distributable as stand alone applications.
  • Recruiting of volunteer developers to cary on the project.
  • Incorporation of improvement recommendations.

A CVS server will be available in the near future. But we are urgently looking for reliable team members responsible for the following areas:

  • Senior Java developers (Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, and also OS/2)
  • Beta testers (Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, and alos OS/2)
  • Documentation experts for Helps, Installation Guides and so on
  • Translators for the software text constants and the online manuals (so far Geramn/English)
  • Interested users willing to help to promote the project externally (press, periodicals, magazines etc.)
  • Moderators for our project support forum and recommendation forum at sourceforge.net (German section and English section)
